Despite a global pandemic, wildfires swarming in, and all that 2020 was these two eloped with just a few loved ones at one of the most beautiful places in the whole country, Yosemite National Park. I feel so honored to be able to witness these kinds of intimate moments.

I got the call from my hotel that it was being evacuated due to the fires while I was stepping onto my plane ride out of Seattle. My best friend ( Memories by Lindsay) came along to second shoot and we ended up rolling with it, detoured to Vegas and drove the 10+ hours to Yosemite. When we got there the whole park was just blanketed with yellow fog and we could see ash falling in the air. This resilient couple braved it though, they literally had to bring their wedding cake with them in the car incase they couldn’t get back to their Air BnB talk about a story. 2020 was a hard year but I’m so thankful for adventurous couples like Josie and AJ who are willing to brave it all to get married. One day we’ll all look back on this past year and laugh.
