It’s no secret that the best time in upstate New York for family pictures is the Fall. Everything transforms into a post card when the foliage comes alive. As a Finger Lakes Family Photographer it is my busiest time of the year and for good reasons. With a jam packed fall wedding schedule I still like to photograph as many families as possible. Each year the foliage changes and peaks at different weeks. Thankfully I was at the right place and time for this family session in the finger lakes. I met up with the Sterling family at their home and photographed them around their property. I love the documentary storytelling aspect that comes when photographing lifestyle families in their own enviroment. It was perfect and just the type of session I love to photograph, where families can really just be in their element. It makes the whole session stress free when we can just explore and chase the sun setting.
