There are weddings that are curated.
And there are weddings that are lived.
I’m a documentary Finger Lakes wedding photographer based in upstate New York, photographing weddings in Ithaca, Skaneateles, Canandaigua, and across the entire Finger Lakes region with a calm, observational approach. I’m not here to choreograph your emotions.
I’m not here to manufacture moments.
I’m here for the things that can’t be hidden with a perfectly positioned camera and a filter that erases the truth. The way the wind comes off Cayuga Lake during your vows.
The look your mom gives you when she thinks no one is watching.
The version of you that exists on this day and will never exist in quite the same way again.
That’s what I photograph.
The Finger Lakes are specific.
October light disappears fast.
Lake wind is real.
Summer humidity changes everything.
Storms roll in without much warning.
I’ve photographed weddings at Firelight Camps, Inn at Taughannock Falls, the John Joseph Inn, The Aurora Inn, and private lake houses throughout the region. I know where the light falls at each venue. I know which ceremony spots look beautiful at 3pm and which ones only work at 6:45.
When it rains at Taughannock, we don’t panic.
When the dock is windy, we lean into it.
When timelines get tight, we protect space instead of forcing photos.
You deserve someone who already understands the environment you’re getting married in.
Some weddings are loud.
Some are quiet on purpose.
If you’re planning a Finger Lakes elopement a cabin weekend in Ithaca, private vows at Taughannock Falls, or a dock ceremony with ten people the approach shifts.
Less production.
More presence.
As a Finger Lakes elopement photographer, I document small weddings and intimate celebrations with the same philosophy: you don’t need to perform for the camera. You don’t need 300 posed images to prove this mattered.
You need proof of life.
Proof that this happened.
Proof of who you were right now.
If you’re getting married anywhere in the Finger Lakes region — vineyards, estates, cabins, lakeside homes
I’d love to hear what matters most to you.
I don’t over-direct.
I don’t believe weddings go wrong unless people are stressed about photos.
I’m calm because I’ve done this for years. I can feel the room. I know when to step in and when to step back. I’m deeply aware that this day won’t happen again not in this form, not with these exact versions of your parents, your friends, yourselves.
That awareness changes how I photograph.
You get:
– 8+ hours of documentary coverage
– Timeline guidance that protects breathing room
– Emotional awareness without pressure
– Images that feel intentional and believable
I photograph fewer than fifteen weddings per year so I can stay present and invested in the ones I take on.
I won't send you on a wild goose chase for pricing. My base package with 8 hours and just me begins at $6000 with the option to add on things like a second shooter, night before coverage and extra hours.

next question —
Yes both elopements and bigger weddings with 300+ people. I grew up with Taughannock Falls in my backyard and its one of my favorite places to go back. I have shot over 10 elopements and over 5 weddings at the Inn At Taughannock. I am also a preferred vendor with the Inn at Taughannock. Each time I go back its as mesmerizing as the last.
Elopements are 3k for up to 4 hours.
next question —
Late September and early October offer peak foliage. June and July provide long evenings and softer lake light. Every season here has its own personality.
next question —
Yes. I regularly photograph weddings in Ithaca, Skaneateles, Watkins Glen, Aurora, Seneca Lake, Canandaigua, Rochester, Trumansburg, and surrounding areas.
