Colin and Erica had a chic wedding at the Palma Restaurant in West Village New York City. It felt intimate with 60 people, everyone there really meant something to them. This wedding was different because Erica was my absolute best friend growing up, her family was my family and so I felt like I could totally immerse myself into the day. The day started out with them getting ready in Hoboken New Jersey not far from where I did their Engagement Session. Colin got ready at their new condo and then we headed across the street to their pub for a beer. Erica got ready nearby at the Westin Hoboken hotel which had the perfect backdrop to the city. They didn’t want their first look to feel like a big thing so I suggested we just casually have them meet on the side of the water walkway where they spend evenings walking. We did portraits by the water and then hopped into the limo for the 45 minute drive over to Cornelias street in the West Village. They chose the most absolute Italian restaurant for their wedding “Palma” which has best gnocchi I think I have ever had. The ceremony was beautifully emotional as to which there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. They chose to give themselves space to just be the two of them for a while after the ceremony and I really do think more couples could benefit from that on a crazy wedding day. Cocktail hour was outside overlooking the quaint west village streetlights. After dancing toasts and dinner, everyone met them at their favorite night club bar Folley where they reserved the VIP area and danced their night away.
